Comlara Park Orienteering Meet Report

Thank you Jim Carter and Laura Hall for hosting the Comlara Park orienteering meet.  Jim was Meet Director & Course Setter of white, yellow, & orange courses.  Fredrik Goransson assisted by updating the map.  Jim was assisted in placement of controls by Laura Hall & Mike Duncan.  Laura Hall, Diane Carter, & Pam Duncan kept the registrations area flowing smoothly.  Katie & Mike Duncan handled the start/finish duties.  Members of ISU’s Army ROTC assisted Jim Carter with the compass exercise.  At the conclusion of the event, Laura Hall and Dan & Hana Kratchovil helped Jim Carter pick up controls.  Refreshments were provided by Laura Hall & the Duncans.  Thanks to each of you for making the event a success.  Many hands lighten the load.

The day was absolutely perfect – for anything outdoors except snow & ice sports!  In addition to assisting with compass training, many members of ISU’s Army ROTC program competed on courses.
