Every single competitor gave it their all Saturday since Jubilee Park and the cold, wet conditions demanded nothing less.  The day started with rain, developed into stinging ice pellets, then blowing snow, finally wrapping up with gentle big flakes.  Challenging conditions for March.  White was pretty standard following trail and field.  Sport level Score-O had 12 controls south of the road, some of which were near White's controls but on different features, making it important to pay attention to control code and clues.  Advanced level Score-O had the same 12 controls as Sport and 12 more controls north of the road grouped mostly near the campground and meadow.  The weather slowed everything down.  Everything but Scott Fredrickson of course.  Scott tore up the park finding 21 of 24 controls within the allotted three hours.  The one's he didn't find, he didn't look for.
A huge warm hug to the Marvin Doyle and Scott Wright for helping set White and erect a windbreak for registration, and clean up the shelter; Gale Grant for getting folks registered and ready; Diane Schopp for playing hostess filling in wherever needed; and Hana Syslova & Dan Kratochvil for picking up the northern controls I was too blown to retrieve.

No matter the weather, our events are on.
