Thank you to Keith Turner for putting on a very fun event offering White, Yellow, & And here is Keith’s Meet Director’s report: Let me say first that all controls were there when the course was picked up :-) The course was set to bump up the White and Yellow courses a little and tone down the Orange (I'm sorry this time to the adventure racers of the group) to try to give a little bit for everyone. Next year's course will hope for the same white/yellow/orange style and an additional orange for the challenge to those with a competitive spirit. White control #666 was named for a reason but was given more challenge by mother nature the night before (extreme slop). Yellow #309 proved to be a problem for some and was visible from the trail but land forms were not present in the area and should be improved upon in future maps. And finally on Thank you to Mike and Ann Contratto for registration and snacks; the Shook family for bringing the very popular rice krispy treats that we couldn't stop talking about; Gary Schopp for registration assistance and beginner/compass instruction; Trent Turner for Start/Finish assistance and control pickup; and Mike Duncan for food donations, setup and registration assistance.
